The Operating Room Nurses Association of the Philippines – Northern Mindanao Chapter (ORNAP-NMC) held its 13th Annual Regional Convention and Scientific Meeting in the Grand Ballroom of LuxeHotel, Cagayan de Oro City on October 7.
This year’s convention bears the theme “Embracing Diversity: Breaking Barriers through Holistic Perioperative Nursing Care” with 400 delegates from different institutions in the country attending the event.
Among the speakers was Christine A. Donnelly, EDL, MSN, MA, RN, Makati Medical Center’s Chief Nursing Officer & Vice President for Nursing & Patient Care Services. She discussed the “Innovative Ways in Managing and Leading the Millennial Workforce.” Ms. Donnelly emphasized how leaders can partner with the millennial workforce in the delivery of quality patient care.
Ms. Donnelly also shared that MakatiMed’s Nursing Services supports the professional development of the millennial work group in making care better for every patient, every time. The importance of collaboration with the physicians and other health care team members was also highlighted to build a safer environment for patients and their families.
