More than 300 Makati Medical Center employees, house staff, and medical staff participated in the “Paint Your Own Sneakers” event spearheaded by the Employee Health and Wellness Clinic (EHWC) together with the Marketing & Sales Services Division.
The event, part of the weeklong celebration of MakatiMed’s 48th Anniversary, inspired participants to “wear their art” by painting their own designs on canvas slip-on and lace-up sneakers.
Participants, some of whom brought printouts or screenshots of their visual pegs and art inspirations, were provided shoes, art supplies, palettes, and acrylic paint, as well as snacks to keep them energized during the art session.
The acrylic paint was provided in part by event sponsor Tulco.
The EHWC encourages all employees, house staff, and medical staff wear sneakers every Friday to promote cardiac health through walking.
