Makati Medical Center celebrated its 48th Foundation Anniversary with the theme “We Have It @ 48” by recognizing the institution’s loyal employees and doctors.
“We Have It” is the new tag line of MakatiMed’s Values & Malasakit campaign, launched last year.
The hospital community gathered at the 8th Floor Tower 2 Auditorium on May 31 to take part in the festivities, which began with a thanksgiving mass officiated by Fr. James McTavish, FMVD, of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity. Fr. McTavish, who was a medical doctor before joining the priesthood, delivered a homily centered on love and positivity, as the anniversary celebration fell on the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
President & CEO Rosalie R. Montenegro thanked the employees and doctors for attending and cheering on their colleagues honored at the event.
Ms. Montenegro and Johnny B. Sinon, MD, Medical Director, handed out awards to doctors and employees who have stayed with the institution for a decade and more, staff members who have excelled in giving quality service, and doctors who have won in contests and have had articles published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
The Appreciation Hall of Fame Award was conferred this year to Ardy L. Manaois, Chief Medical Technologist, Department of Pathology & Laboratories. This award, launched just last year, is given to those who have appeared in the Most Appreciated roster for five consecutive years.
