As part of the 50th anniversary of Makati Medical Center, the hospital organized a cultural event featuring concert pianist Ingrid Sala Santamaria on April 5, 2019 at the Ledesma Hall, Tower 1.
The piano concert, initiated by the MMC Diamond Club, was in partnership with the Pilar & Salvador Sala Foundation and the MMC Foundation to integrate culture and humanize medical practitioners in a field that is dominated by science and technology.
Ms. Sala Santamaria was accompanied by a string quartet – composed of Sara Maria Gonzales (Violin 1), Maria Monica Bacus (Violin 2), June Philippe Ong (Viola), and Arnold Josue (Cello) – and performed Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11 Allegro Maestoso Larghetto-Romanze Rondo-Vivace and Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25 Molto allegro con fuoco Andante Presto.
More than a hundred guests and doctors from various departments attended the piano concert.
