Makati Medical Center’s Employee Health & Wellness Clinic (EHWC), headed by Rosemarie B. Cabujat, MD, held a seminar on Responsible Parenthood on February 6 at the 8th Floor Tower 2 Auditorium.
Obstetrician-Gynecologist Patricia M. Kho, MD, Head of the Lactation Services and Milk Bank, discussed family planning, sexually transmitted infections, and breastfeeding.
The topics discussed were in line with one of the program components of the Department of Labor and Employment’s Family Welfare Program (FWP). As key to workplace productivity and improved worker-management relations, this program intends to promote workers’ quality of life by adopting a family-centered approach in the workplace.
The half-day seminar was attended by more than 100 clinical staff and corporate employees.
In addition to the lectures, the attendees also participated in games designed to assess their baseline knowledge on contraception and breastfeeding.
