Ultrasound and Vascular Laboratory

Ultrasonography or ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging modality using high-frequency sound waves to diagnose a variety of disease conditions. Ultrasound images are captured in real-time, showing the structure and movement of the body’s internal organs as well as blood flowing through the blood vessels. It is an effective modality examining small body parts, including the salivary glands, thyroid, scrotum and joints.
Routine procedures include:
  • Whole Abdomen
(liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, prostate / uterus and ovaries, urinary bladder and abdominal aorta)
  • Transvaginal / Endovaginal
  • Transrectal Pelvic
  • Prostate
  • Ultrasound-guided interventional procedures
    • Cyst aspiration
    • Fine needle aspiration
    • Intravenous catheter insertion
    • Paracentesis
    • Percutaneous biopsy
    • Thoracentesis
  • Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Vascular Color and Doppler Ultrasound
This special ultrasound procedure evaluates the blood flow through arteries and veins in the abdomen, extremities, neck and or brain (in infants and children) or within various body organs such as the liver or kidneys.
  • Carotid Doppler
  • Color Doppler Lower Extremities Bilateral Veins/Arteries
  • Color Doppler of Vein Portal
  • Color Doppler Transrectal Prostate
  • Color Doppler Transvaginal / Endovaginal
  • Color Doppler Neck/ Cervical Lymph Nodes
  • Color Doppler of AV Graft
  • Color Doppler of Gyne
  • Color Doppler of Iliac Artery
  • Color Doppler of the Scrotum/Testes/Testicles
  • Color Doppler of the Thyroid
  • Color Doppler of the Radial Artery
  • Color Doppler of the Upper Extremities Veins/Arteries
