The Neurophysiology and Sleep Disorders Laboratory (NSDL) provides a comprehensive set of neurological testing procedures to evaluate the functional aspects of the peripheral and central nervous systems. These are used in the evaluation of obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, loss of consciousness, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, encephalopathies, traumatic injuries, tumors, peripheral neuropathies, muscle diseases, myasthenia gravis and other neurological disorders.
It is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for digital electroencephalogram, video electroencephalogram, electromyography and nerve conduction studies, evoked potential tests and diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies. Patients for spinal cord and scoliosis surgery are monitored in the operating room using the Cadwell Cascade IOM.
