The DZRJ 810 AM “Healthline with MakatiMed” team, led by program producer and host Nicole Jacinto, threw a Thanksgiving party for the doctors who have graced the program since its first episode in November 2016.
The party was held on November 17 at RJ Bistro in Dusit Thani Manila. It also marked the show’s first anniversary.
Guests included officers and staff of Makati Medical Center’s Marketing & Sales Services Division and past program interviewees. MakatiMed doctors and staff rocked to the beats of Beats and Pieces and RJ and Friends. RJ and Friends had Ms. Jacinto’s father, musician RJ Jacinto, on vocals and lead guitar, with Angie Bonnevie providing additional vocals.
Makati Medical Center’s Marketing & Sales Services Division through its Promotions, Communications & Special Projects Department (PCSP) partnered with DZRJ 810 AM to produce the radio health show. “Healthline with MakatiMed” features MakatiMed doctors as guests and resource persons on health matters and issues. The show airs every Wednesday, 7:00PM to 8:00PM, on DZRJ 810 AM, with simultaneous video livestreaming on RJ Radio’s Facebook page.
“As the host of ‘Healthline with MakatiMed,’ I get to interact with many of the remarkable and outstanding doctors from different fields who practice in Makati Medical Center,” Ms. Jacinto said. “I also get to interact with the spectacular people from MakatiMed’s Promotions, Communications & Special Projects Department [under the Marketing & Sales Services Division], whose invaluable guidance helps me put the show together every week.”
She continued that this partnership “also allows me to enjoy the full process of bringing the audience a show that is informative, educational and engaging, and brings to fruition one of my dreams which is to host a health and medical show of substance that does not sugarcoat or dumb-down topics simply to fulfill a criteria for a perceived desensitized public.”
“The show is a realization of my wish to give health and medical issues which are of paramount importance a platform and medium to reach so many people who are in need of pertinent, accurate and reliable information that can help them be proactive about their diverse universal and distinct health and medical issues,” she said. “It comforts me as a human being and as a potential patient to know that together, we help people take care of themselves and their loved ones by bringing them responsible awareness and assuring them that there is a hospital like MakatiMed that can address their needs.
She conveyed her heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Makati Medical Center for its continued commitment to the show.
“Indeed, hosting the program is the favorite part of my Wednesdays,” she said.
