The Renal Care Services Unit (formerly Kidney Unit) is a modern facility equipped with state-of-the-art water treatment facility and high-end hemodialysis machines on single-use dialyzers to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient dialysis treatment. The unit performs hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, hemofiltration, hemodiafiltration, charcoal hemoperfusion, sustained low efficiency dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy. The unit also offers renal diet consultations for the education of patients, their family members and caregivers.

The unit also performs kidney transplantation in collaboration with the Urology and Vascular Surgery Sections of the Department of Surgery. MakatiMed’s Kidney Transplant program is geared towards cadaveric and living donor transplantation in line with the hospital’s ethical standards and the government regulatory policies.
