The Center offers a variety of specialized, minimally-invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal tract diseases. It addresses simple to complex digestive conditions, including acid-related disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, gastrointestinal malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease, diseases of the gut microbiota, and liver failure. The Center also follows a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care and provides access to other specialized centers, including, but not limited to, preventive health, nutrition, access to research and clinical trials, and other support groups.
The Center is composed of Specialists in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Hepatology. It is complemented by professional Endoscopy Nurses and Allied HealthCare Personnel who provide compassionate care with each patient encounter.
Services Offered
Also known as the Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, it is a procedure performed to view the lining of the esophagus and stomach by using a type of endoscope called gastroscope through the mouth. This can detect of the upper digestive tract including ulcer, cancer, hiatal hernia, and esophagitis. The procedure also provides access to perform therapy, if feasible, to stop bleeding from an ulcer, retrieve foreign objects, and place a feeding tube for nutrition.
Indications:
Also known as the Lower Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, it is a procedure performed to view the lining of the colon (large intestine) by using another type of endoscope called colonoscope through the rectum to detect diseases such as inflammation, polyp cancer, and bleeding lesions.
