Cardiovascular Intensive Care and Cardiovascular-Telemetry Units care for patients with acute or chronic cardiovascular (heart) diseases.
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Units are for patients who need close monitoring due to acute or chronic cardiovascular (heart) diseases with physiological instability and who require aggressive medical therapy, technical intervention or artificial life support.
CV-Telemetry are step-down units for patients recovering after an acute cardiovascular event, or for those with chronic cardiac disease but are physiologically stable.
