MakatiMed opens Center for Pediatric Development & Rehabilitation

Makati Medical Center’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation officially launched the Center for Pediatric Development and Rehabilitation (CPDR) on August 28, 2018.  The move comes as the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation seeks to further extend its commitment to patient care and maintain its reputation as the “Malasakit” Rehab Team provider of MakatiMed and now it is ready to serve the pediatric community.
 
Vicente Antonio A. Reloza, MD, Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, welcomed the guests. This was followed by the ribbon cutting led by Maria Corazon C. Consunji, MD, President and CEO; Johnny B. Sinon, MD, Medical Director; Marielle M. Rubio, VP for Service Operations; Ma. Rosario P. Marin, MD, Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics; Ana Maria Treichler-Borgaily, MD, Developmental Pediatrician; and Dr. Reloza. The blessing of the center was presided by Fr. Mark Ulysses Castro. Sherilyn R. Quezada-Privado, staff occupational therapist, was the master of ceremonies. The CPDR logo, which was also introduced in the launch of the center, was created by Jay R. de Belen, staff physical therapist for CPDR.
 
The center caters to articulation and language deficits, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Swallowing Disorders among others. The center offers Early Therapy Intervention, School Observation and Assessment, Play Skill Program, Social Interaction Program, School Readiness Programs, Fitness and Wellness and Handwriting Program.
 
Assessment Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy services are also available from Tuesday to Sunday 9:00am to 6:00pm at the CPDR located at 2^nd floor Tower 2. Appointments can also be made by calling (+632) 8888-999 local 3305.
