Makati Medical Center’s (MakatiMed) Section of Neurology Stroke Team has been honored with the prestigious Diamond Award from the World Stroke Organization (WSO) Angel Awards. This distinguished recognition was conferred upon the hospital during the 15th World Stroke Congress in Toronto, Canada, on October 11, 2023. Receiving the award was MakatiMed Neurologist Anna Marie Sage-Nolido, MD in behalf of the whole Stroke Team.
The Diamond Award, the highest accolade in the WSO Angels Award Category, marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s commitment to excellence in stroke care. MakatiMed is the sole private hospital in the Philippines to attain this esteemed Diamond Status, underscoring its unwavering dedication to providing top-tier stroke care to the local community.
Since 2019, MakatiMed has achieved quarterly awards from the WSO Angel Awards, garnering a total of seven Gold Awards, two Platinum Awards, and now, its first Diamond Award.
