Makati Medical Center celebrated Heart Month with an in-house mass blood donation that attracted over 100 donors on February 15 at the 8th Floor Tower 2 Auditorium.
The mass blood donation was organized by the Blood Bank and Transfusion Services of the Department of Pathology & Laboratories. Blood Bank also had a lobby exhibit about blood donation, which showed the steps of the procedure and tips to become a successful blood donor.
A total of 140 employees and volunteer donors participated and were screened for donation, with Blood Bank able to collect 106 blood units from successful donors.
