Ma. Bernardita T. Javier, RND, Department Manager of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department under Clinical Support Services, was elected Treasure of the Nutritionist-Dietitians’ Association of the Philippines (NDAP).
The election was held during NDAP’s 62nd Annual Convention with the theme “Service with Passion towards a Nourished Nation”, last March 8 to 10 at the Marriott Hotel, Manila. NDAP members and colleagues representing different institution joined together to support nutrition and health advocacy.
“Accepting the nomination was a last-minute decision,” Ms. Javier said. “My winning came as a complete surprise to me. Being selected as treasurer was even more unexpected. It is a tall order. But things do happen for a reason. Being in NDAP has a purpose. I hope that I will do the profession as well as the association good.”
The elected officers took their pledge of commitment at Mariapolis Center, Tagaytay City on May 14.
