Pediatric Critical Care

Our Critical Care Department manages infectious and non-infectious cases of critically-ill pediatric patients, specializing in blood (hemodynamic) and breathing (ventilator) monitoring. The most common cases in the department are cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurology and trauma cases.

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is an especially equipped and staffed facility where pediatric patients receive constant instrumental monitoring coupled with continual expert medical and nursing care. The PICU is staffed by pediatric residents and especially trained nurses who work with the child’s attending physician/intensivists. PICU facilities and services include:
