The Medical Physicist is responsible for preparing treatment plans and dose calculations for patients undergoing radiation treatment following local and international standards.
He/She develops, implements, and performs comprehensive quality control program for the center, its equipment, among others. He/She supervises the activities of the Rad Techs in handling the radiopharmaceuticals.
Qualifications
Graduate of BS in Physics, Therapeutic Radiological Physics, Biophysics, Medical Physics, Health Physics, Physical Sciences or Engineering
At least 200 hours of classroom training in Radiation Physics, Radiation Dosimetry, Radiation Protection, and Radiation Biology.
With units or graduate of Master of Science in Medical Physics
Ongoing Residency Program or Self-Directed Program
Clinical and technical experience in Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiology is an advantage.
