EMR Systems Specialist


The EMR Systems Specialist assists the Physicians and the Allied Health Professionals in using the system for the documentation and review of the patient's medical record.

Duties and Responsibilites (include but not limited to):

  • Assists the Physicians and Allied Health Professionals in the documentation in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System
  • Conducts training for Physicians and Allied Health Professionals in the EMR System Development and ensures the proper usage of the system
  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and assists the users in the EMR system development and in the implementation of any systems migration and upgrades in all units through user acceptance testing and pre-production activities.
  • Assist in EMR quality assurance activities
  • Reports and monitors EMR system and process related issues.
  • Coordinates with the healthcare team and facilitates activities related to EMR system and process enhancements
  • Coordinates with the IT Division for system-related issues and enhancements


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any healthcare-related course, preferably nursing graduate
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting and/or in Health Informatics
  • Knowledgeable with Hospital Information Management Systems, knows how to review charts and medical terminologies/doctor's orders
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Analytical and must have good decision-making skills
