Takayasu's Arteritis

Inflammatory disease affecting the aorta and the blood vessels attached to it. Most common in young Asian women between ages 15 and 30. A common symptom is non-palpable pulse on upper extremeties, such as the wrist.

Temporal Arteritis

Inflammatory blood vessel disease, especially in the large and medium arteries of the head.

Temporomandibular joint

(TMJ) The joint of the jaw, referring to two bones: upper temporal bone, which is part of the skull, and the lower jaw bone (mandible).

Thrombolysis

Breaking down of blood clots through medicine

Thyroid Nodules

Lumps formed within the thyroid that may or may not be cancerous.

Thyroiditis

Inflammation of the thyroid gland.

Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty

Use of a balloon-tipped catheter to enlarge a narrowed artery.

Triage

Usually used in emergency departments, it determines the priority of patient treatments based on the severity of their condition to efficiently ration treatment.

Tuberculosis

(TB)A common infectious disease that usually attacks the lungs, characterized by chronic cough with blood-tinged sputum, fever, night sweats, and weight loss.
