Gastritis
Inflammation of the stomach lining of the stomach, usually caused by excessive alcohol consumption or prolonged use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (also known as NSAIDs) such as aspirin or ibuprofen.
Gastroenteritis
(Gastric Flu or Stomach Flu) Inflammation of stomach and small intestine,resulting in acute diarrhea, usually caused by viral or bacterial infections, parasites, or a reaction to food or drugs.
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
(GERD, acid reflux disease)Chronic symptoms caused by abnormal reflux of stomach acids to the esophagus.
Gastroparesis
(Delayed Gastric Emptying) A disorder in which the stomach takes too much time to empty its contents.
Giant Cell Arteritis
(GCA, temporal arteritis) inflammation of large blood vessels, usually in the head.
Glomerulonephritis
(GN, Glomerular Nephritis). Inflammation of the small blood vessels in the kidneys (glomeruli), which may be caused by a kidney disorders, infections, systemic disorders, or diabetes.
Gout
Pain and joint inflammation caused by formation of crystals within the joint space.
Graft-vs-Host Disease
A life threatening reaction there an organ transplant recipient's immune system attacks the transplanted organ.
Graves' Disease
Autoimmune disease characterized by an overactive thyroid, which may result in goiter and a protrusion of one or both eyes.
