The Department of Neurosciences was founded in 1969 Dr. Romeo H. Gustilo. It was envisioned to be a tripartite organization, consisting of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry, functioning independently but bonded by interdependence through Neuroscience. The department addresses conditions associated with the nervous system, including the brain, Cerebrovascular systems, and mental capacities.
