Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide, and is one of the most-treated neurological conditions at Makati Medical Center.
Our Acute Stroke Unit (ASU) treats simple and complex Cerebrovascular disorders through a multidisciplinary approach combining emergency medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, interventional neuroradiology, stereotactic radiology, neuro-intensive care, neuro-anesthesiology, and rehabilitation medicine.
The unit is an intensive care facility with two beds that can be expanded as the need arises. Conditions we diagnose and manage include:
