Facelift

Length of the Procedure:
2 to 3 hours
Type of Anesthesia: General or Local Anesthesia
Recovery: Back to work: 10 to 14 days (normal activities)
Laboratory Requests: Chest X-ray, Complete Blood Count, Bleeding time, Clotting time (Pro time)
Pre-OP Procedures:
No Alcohol, Vitamin E, Aspirin (and other blood thinners), Herbal drugs & teas.
Post-OP Procedures: Dressing removal 24 hours; Suture removal 5 to 10 days
 
What is a Facelift?
  • A Facelift or Rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that entails the removal of excess and sagging skin, tightening of skin and muscle tissue around the face and neck. It also removes deep creases around the nose and mouth that are common with aging.  
Who are best candidates for a Facelift?
  •  Men and women with sagging skin or deep creases around the nose and mouth
What to expect?                                                    
  • Bruising
  • Swelling for 2 to 8 week
What are the risks?
  •  Any surgical procedure carries certain risks and possible complications. Your surgeon will discuss these risks with you during your consultation. Some of the potential complications are:

    • Scars
    • Skin Necrosis
