Telemetry
If you are at risk of abnormal heart activity and are admitted to our Intensive Coronary Care Unit, we will bring you to our Telemetry Unit, where your condition can be best diagnosed.
An integral part of our Cardiology Section, our Telemetry Unit is specially designed to meet the needs of patients who have signs and symptoms of cardiac diseases.
At our Telemetry Unit, we will outfit you with measuring, recording and transmitting devices. A data log will be used by your cardiologist to diagnose your condition. Our telemetry systems also alerts your nurses if you are suffering from an acute or dangerous condition.
At Makati Medical Center, we can assure you that you will receive only the best cardiac care at our Telemetry Unit.
For one, we are proud of our life-saving technology. Our cutting-edge monitoring equipment measures and transmits accurate and data in an uninterrupted flow.
Our unit, in fact, is the country's most equipped, and this was one significant factor that helped us to perform the first heart transplant in the Philippines in 1994, and the second and third in 1996. Since then, we have performed countless heart transplants.
The unit is also run by some of the country's best physicians and nurses. Our doctors are on board 24 hours and are accredited by the Philippine College of Physicians. Our excellent nurses are specially trained to assess and help our patients and respond quickly and competently to their urgent medical needs.
