Makati Medical Center's Operating Room is the optimally safe, aseptic, and therapeutic environment conducive to the performance of all surgeries—from the simplest to the most complex surgical procedures.

Knowing that surgery is one of our vital services, we continuously aim to keeps abreast with developments in Operating Room technology, even as we currently use state-of-the-art equipment that enable us to perform a wide variety of advanced procedures.

All of our staff—from specialists, to nurses, technicians and nursing aidshave undergone extensive medical training, so they are highly-competent at what they do.

Preparing for the Operating Room

  • Follow your doctor's advice upon consultation.
  • Discuss your diagnosis with your doctor. Feel free to ask questions about the operation and the preparations you have to make.
  • Undergo the basic tests such as blood test, urine test, blood chemistry, ECG test, or cleaning for cardiac pulmonary clearance.
  • Follow the prescribed diet and observe good nutrition.
  • Generally, follow the No-Smoking advice for at least 1 to 2 weeks before your surgery.
