Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Patients who are admitted to Makati Medical Center’s Intensive Care and Coronary Care Unit (ICU-CCU) are suffering from a life-threatening illness or injury or require intensive care to recover after major surgery.

Our ICU-CCU is a specially designed and dedicated facility with state-of-the-art equipment. Our staff of nurses and physicians are highly committed to provide exceptional health care, even as they undergo continuous education and training. We routinely keep abreast of the newest developments in critical care.
Advanced Medical Technology, Well-Trained Staff
Our ICU-CCU suites are designed to meet the total health requirements that you or your loved one needs for recovery. Advanced bedside and central monitors allow us to make constant and simultaneous observations and create an instantaneous record of multiple important vital organ functions—including either standard non-invasive or intra-vascular blood pressure, heart rate and electrocardiograph rhythm and body oxygen status.
Every patient confined in our ICU-CCU receives complete attention from an excellent team of nurses and physicians. Our ICU Cardiologists are all accredited members of the Philippine College of Physicians who have been selected carefully from a long list of candidates. They are also highly skilled in Advance Cardiac Life Support Care. ICU nurses are products of a Nurse Training Program, a benchmark in the profession.
