MCF Dermatology and Phototherapy Center

Makati Medical Center's Manuel C. Fernandez Sr. (MCF) Phototherapy and Laser Center helps restore and maintain the natural beauty and health of your skin through complete and expert dermatological care.
Today there is a profusion of laser centers, but MCF is the country's first hospital-based laser center. We boast of a complete line-up of advanced laser equipment that can treat virtually all skin problems, whether these are caused by pathogens or have other causes.
Our MCF Center can perform skin lifting, firming, skin renewal resurfacing, hair photodynamic therapy, hair removal, psoriasis treatment and acne treatment, and many other skin beautifying procedures.
At our center, you can find solutions to:
- Psoriasis: a lifelong immunologic skin disease which causes dry, red scaly patches to appear on skin.
- Eczema: commonly known as asthma of the skin.
- Vitiligo: a skin disorder characterized by milky-white spots or dots on the skin caused by the loss of pigment cells.
We also perform cosmetic treatments for:
- Reduction or eradication of acne
- Reduction and removal of unwanted hair
- Reduction of scars, prominent pores, wrinkles, sagging skin, dark spots and reddish marks, vascular and pigmented lesions
- Body contouring and cellulite erasing
- Skin resurfacing: improvement of skin tone and texture
Our Center is equipped with six of the latest laser technology machines, and one phototherapy machine:
- Harmony Pixel Laser: the newest innovation for acne and scar treatment, designed to improve the skin's surface and texture, used to treat wrinkles, scars, superficial skin lesions and also effective for skin resurfacing
- Polaris WR System: combines optical or laser energy and radio frequency for wrinkle treatment, skin tone improvement and acne scars
- Lightsheer Diode Laser: the gold standard in hair removal, penetrates deeply into skin without harm to surrounding areas, making it a safe and effective means of removing excess hair
- Intensed Pulse Light (IPL) Quantum SR: treatment for pigmentary discoloration, unsightly blood vessels and skin rejuvenation
- Vela Smooth System: thermal treatment for cellulite reduction
- Extreme Clear: utilizes light energy to selectively clear acne lesions, improve psoriasis and vitiligo, and remove unwanted hair
- Daavlin Spectra: sophisticated phototherapy unit for serious skin diseases
MCF Center's advanced equipment is backed up by a staff of board-certified dermatologists who all possess first-rate professional credentials. Makati Med's Dermatology Department is also a training institute where a select number of residents undergo rigorous training.
