Medical Procedures
We lead the way in Philippines in cardiac care, organic transplants and surgery, cancer treatment, neurology and neurosurgery, and many other specialties.

Surgical Services
At Makati Medical Center, there is no surgery beyond us. Our Surgery department offers the entire range of essential surgeries: bariatric, cardiac, colon and rectal, gastrointestinal, general, kidney, pancreas, or liver transplant, minimally invasive, orthopedic, otolaryngology, pediatric, plastic and reconstructive, thoracic, urology or vascular surgery, or trauma and surgical critical care surgery.
Our Neurosciences department is capable of craniotomies and other neurological surgeries. We use state-of-the-art technologies and procedures such as the vertebroplasty for spine fractures, and deep brain stimulation for movement disorders.
Neuro-services include centers for stroke and cerebrovascular disease, radiosurgery and neuromuscular disease, even as our neurophysiology labs can handle the comprehensive battery of neurological testing procedures:

Acute Stroke Unit
Makati Med’s Acute Stroke Unit is the country’s leader in stroke management. The unit is multidisciplinary, bringing together physicians in neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology and physical medicine and rehabilitation services to manage stroke patients. Our physicians treat patients suffering from ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attack TIA), cerebrovascular accident (CVA), aphasia and aneurysms. We can perform angioplasty, stenting procedures, endovascular treatments and interventional neuroradiology procedures.
Brain & Spine Center
Makati Med’s Brain and Spine Center experts treat adults and children with spinal trauma, disease, and deformity found anywhere along the entire spine from skull to sacrum. We proudly offer minimally invasive spine surgery solutions that grant patients faster recovery and less pain. Our neurosurgeons can treat patients with spine tumors. We can also treat vascular malformations, spinal and intercranial, which include cavernous malformations and arteriovenous malformations.
Radiosurgery
At Makati Med, advanced interventional radiology procedures often replace open surgical procedures.
Our interventional radiologists are physicians who specialize in minimally invasive, targeted treatments that they perform using imaging guidance. Their expertise in reading x-rays, ultrasound and other medical images, guides them as they treat diseases percutaneously or via needle puncture.
Our neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists can also treat brain tumors, arteriovenous malformations (AVM), with stereotactic radiosurgery and radiation therapy.
Aesthetic Procedures
AT MAKATI MED, we also lead the way in the full range of aesthetic procedures that will make you beautiful, inside-out.
At our MCF Dermatology and Phototherapy Center, we successfully apply laser technologies to eliminate or reduce your acne, keloids, wrinkles, age spots, open pores, pitted scars, varicose veins and skin diseases.
You can come to our Aesthetic Surgery Center for face lifts, eyelid surgery, nose lifts, breast augmentation, tummy tucks, liposuction and other cosmetic procedures that our highly-qualified doctors can do for you, at a tenth of what it will cost you in the United States or Europe.
